I have a personal question that could be relevant for those in a similar situation or those doing work with older adult populations. My grandmother, who is a spunky, smart, and strong 92 year old Texan living in Vermont, suffered a huge blow about 6 weeks ago when she fell and hit her head. After 6 weeks in a rehabilitation facility learning to walk & talk again she is going home today. She has made huge progress in the rehab facility where the PTs have her working several hours a day on strength, coordination and cognitive skills. She is almost back to herself.
